PyGrail - Teams¶
Coming Soon!!!¶
The documentation below describes the upcoming community functionality, to be released in phases during 2020.
Overview¶
The Teams feature enables players to communicate with each other via instant chat boards. Players must be at least Wafer Thin Mint to join a Team. Players may join up to 3 Teams, one of which must be a primary Team. Additional Teams may be joined in exchange for tokens.
Note
Remember that this is a public site, accessible to minors and people of many alternative persuasions! The purpose of making this chat available is purely to discuss PyGrail related topics. There is zero tolerance for hate speech, innuendo, harassment, trolling, or anything that would cause offence in a church, mosque, or in front of your grandma.
Features¶
Team page¶
Teams also have a profile page which explains the club, editable by Holy Hand Grenade and above. It also shows the internal rankings. The Team will get a default avatar, alternative images can be uploaded.
Chat lists¶
Discussions are held in a chat list. You can open a chat list to view new messages. Chat history is private to the site (not indexed by search engines, or visible without logging in).
Leaderboards¶
Every player will choose a primary Team in settings. Players can join additional Teams, however (for leaderboard rankings) their reputation will only count towards their primary Team.
Players will feature on the leaderboards within their primary Team. Team leaderboards show the split by All Time / This Year / This month.
The main site leaderboard will also be updated with a switch, so that the league tables can be by person, or by Team.
New Teams¶
Joining New Teams¶
Players are able to join up to 3 Teams by default. A player may leave a Team to join another one. If a player has no Teams, joining a Team makes it primary by default.
Players may increase this capacity by purchasing Teams. There is no limit to the number of Teams a player may purchase. Each new Team will cost 10 tokens.
The primary Team of a player will be shown on their public profile.
Creating New Teams¶
New Teams can be created by anybody, for a 300 token purchase fee. The Team Creator has automatic rights to modify the Team profile page, regardless of rank.
Admins (Private Team feature)¶
Private Teams have Admins. Admins have the following powers:
- Ability to mark other players as admins
- Ability to update the community picture and profile
- Ability to remove players from the community
- Ability to delete messages
The Creator has all admin rights, plus the ability to remove admins.
